Long Beach Friends,

Hello from the land of heat! This week's update will be short because we are heading out of town to go to Super Summer-a youth camp in Salinas. As you pray for the LBFC high school youth at camp this week, we ask that you would also remember us in your prayers. This will be a good opportunity for Emily and me to get to know the youth at First Southern Baptist (FSB) as well as to develop our relationships with Jeremy and Kimberly (the youth pastor and his wife). We're leaving this morning and we will be coming back on Friday afternoon. The weather will definitely be different than Quaker Meadow-the last time we checked it is supposed to be in the upper 90's - 100! Come quickly, autumn!

Briefly, this last week was a refreshing one for Emily and me as we spent time decorating our place, hanging out with people, and celebrating our belated anniversary, which included eating at Lambert's Café (we'll tell you about the "home of the throwed rolls" next week).
